  Sentara is hiring an Operating Room Technician II at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
  
  REQUIREMENTS:
  
  • 3 years related experience REQUIRED
  • BLS Certification REQUIRED
  • *Surgical Technologist training preferred. May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.

  Job Summary
  
  Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.
  
  May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.
  Applicants enrolled in a program leading to Certification as a Surgical Technologist or is in a career track leading to the same preferred. Knowledge of Aseptic Techniques and maintaining sterile environments preferred.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  TS - Trade School Graduate: Surgical Technologist
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
