Utilize computerized scheduling systems to coordinate surgical cases.

Create and manage 48-hour drafts of the operating room schedule.

Identify open surgical slots and move cases as needed to optimize efficiency.

Communicate with surgical specialties to resolve scheduling conflicts.

Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Advanced education, college degree preferred.
- 1-3 years minimum experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in the work environment; must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Computer skills required. Medical Terminology Data Entry/Keyboarding Computer software, i.e.., Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access Time management
- Successful completion of 120-day introductory period required to achieve knowledge of policies relative to job duties and patient care unit.

Department: Operating Room (O.R.)General Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time OR Scheduler. Under general supervision, the scheduler performs a variety of scheduling duties at the O.R. control desk or scheduler’s office using a computerized system. This role is responsible for creating a 48-hour draft of O.R. schedules, independently filling open time slots, and resolving scheduling conflicts with surgical specialties.Key Responsibilities:
