Position Summary Under the general direction of the Manager of Workforce Management, the Operations Data Analyst is responsible for managing data collection and providing analytics and reporting for OHMG Access Center operations. Provides expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results. Analyzes key performance indicators and identifies areas for improvement related to Access Center operational efficiency and effectiveness. Conducts historical analysis of key performance indicators, as well as realtime and prospective projections of patient and activity volume, and resultant workload. The Data Analyst functions as a subject matter expert and acts as the primary resource for all data analytics needs for the Access Center operations. Orlando Health Medical Group Access Center ****Located in Downtown Orlando***** Responsibilities Manages the collection, analysis and reporting of pertinent key performance indicators and other performance related data and develops continuous improvement and action plans. Extracts data from applications and systems (e.g., EPIC, Cisco CUIC, Verint, etc.) and performs historical analysis of key performance indicators, as well as real-time and prospective projections of patient and activity volume and resultant workload. Develops and prepares individual function specific team’s performance dashboards for periodic management / executive reporting. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets; Interprets data and develops recommendations based on findings. Draws upon Access Center operations and performance data to draw inferences and trends that are used for development of recommendations and observations. Develops databases and acquires reporting / analytic tools to support robust, comprehensive data analysis in collaboration with leadership and workforce management team. Manages ad hoc data collection and analysis on an as needed basis. Establishes continuous improvement / action plans to address lagging performance as indicated by data analysis. Coordinates responses to external surveys / data requests requiring statistical information. Tracks pertinent key performance indicators and perform quality assurance reviews as directed by the Manager of Workforce Management. Evaluates data, raise issues, and recommends solutions or improvements for data integrity. Assists function specific team managers, directors, and Sr. Director in budgeting, financial reporting, and other data analytic activities. Assists the Manager of Workforce Management in providing periodic training to Access Center staff members on nuances regarding data collection, analysis, and reporting. Participates in Access Center meetings / forums to promote open consistent communications for continuous performance improvement. Investigates, resolves and documents issues encountered in a timely and efficient manner, and contact corresponding stakeholders (e.g., Manager of Workforce Management, other Access Center function specific team managers / directors) as needed. Assists manager in streamlining business reporting requirements and provides recommendation to improve reporting and analytics processes and tools as necessary to optimize analysis capability. Works with cross functional teams, IT, or relevant business partners to recommend improvements to systems and reports. Supports all relevant work-related reporting including EPIC work queue data. Other duties and additional workload as needed by Workforce Management/Access Center leadership. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Stays abreast of advancing technology and opportunities with data analytics software and software that improve operational efficiencies. Proactively works with users to explore expanded functionality and process improvements with time and scheduling systems. Qualifications Education/Training Master's degree from an accredited College or University required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Experience Hands on collection skills - ability to devise and implement strategies/processes to improve results. Excellent computer skillsincluding MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access- experience in designing and maintaining spreadsheets, presentations - advanced level required. Experience in utilizing data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.). Effectively utilize and integrate enterprise-wide requirement systems (EPIC, Cisco, Verint, etc.). Experience in problem solving, extracting, and manipulating large datasets. Familiar with scheduling/referral processing practices and the evaluation, interpretation and analysis of data and systems Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population with a strong emphasis on "Customer Care" and “Patient Experience”. Demonstrate ability to analyze/interpret data, think critically, identify risk, create a plan of action, and execute that plan. 1-2 years related experience in data analytics.
