- Prepare, reconcile and analyze GL and bank-controlled DDA accounts, analyze accounting transactions, conduct research on outstanding reconciliation items, collaborate with other departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and outstanding items, proactively address unusual trends by performing thorough analysis and engaging all impacted stakeholders to conclude on best practices
- Prepare daily adjusting entries, prepare month-end close adjusting entries, ensure compliance with established operational processes and GAAP
- Perform monitoring over operational processes for compliance with accounting concepts and established business rules; enhance processes to optimize work effort, leveraging technology where feasible
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and management reporting as directed by manager
- Support banking or accounting systems upgrades, including testing and validation; support new system deployments and any operational accounting processes that result
- Provide operational and accounting support for bank or portfolio acquisitions, as directed by manager
- Ability to complete reconciliations of complicated accounts, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail (Required)
- General accounting knowledge – preparation of journal entries, completing analysis, month end close process (Required)
- Broad range knowledge of bank operational processes and systems (Required)
- Skilled in accounting software and reconciliation platforms (Preferred)
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP; understanding of financial regulations (Required)
- Strong critical thinking skills, ability to set work priorities that conform to establish standards, concurrently advance multiple projects and priorities, ability to work in the absence of specific direction (Required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Required)
- Above average proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis in Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel (Required)

OverviewThis is a full-time career opportunity that can be hybrid within the Fulton Bank footprint as follows: DE, NJ, PA.
The primary responsibility of this position is to process, analyze, reconcile and troubleshoot complex bank accounting operational transactions and reconciliations, and to work collaboratively with other departments to solution operational problems. This position supports financial accounting and reconciliation control, along with special projects. Incumbents in this position develop operations, systems and accounting expertise, are expected to work under minimal supervision and may train or advise junior staff.

EducationBachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting. (Required)
Experience2 or more years general accounting, bank accounting/operational processes, reconciliations. (Required)
1 or more years banking, financial services, or auditing. (Preferred)

The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.13 - $40.24.
