      An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional member of staff to join our busy Procurement Team.

      You will be working in an experienced operational procurement team supporting over 1600 users of the Oracle SBS system and helping the day-to-day purchase to pay process to run smoothly enabling divisional staff to focus on service users' care.

      In particular you will be influencing the user in their requirements and processing order requests efficiently, realising cost savings at every opportunity.

      You will be required to deliver informal training to a wide range of staff on an adhoc basis. You will be the focal point for supplier and customer enquiries, and therefore you will need to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skill. You will also need to enjoy and be comfortable dealing with a high level of telephone work within an open plan environment.

      We are looking for a team player with a strong customer focused approach.

      Main duties of the job

      You will have experience of using financial or purchase to pay systems. You need to be able to demonstrate commercial awareness, communication skills, be well organised and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages; Excel, and Word.

      Previous experience of working within either procurement, finance or the NHS is essential. Either order processing, catalogue management or system administration would be good starting points to be able to apply for this role.

      The post holder will have responsibility for the following tasks:

      • Processing all orders assigned to them
      • Maintenance of the Trust Catalogues including NHS Supply Chain
      • Provide support to purchase to pay users to enable them to use the system
      • Act as a backup for the routing of non-PO invoices.
      • Will act as the Trust travel booking specialist
