      Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

      In this role, you will maintain direct operational control through delegated authority of the Director of Operations and conduct all responsibilities pertaining to this role as described below.

      Responsibilities

      Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

      • Maintain Direct Operational Control through Delegated Authority of the Director of Operations
      • Resolve Escalated technical operational issues
      • Respond to Urgent flight crew communication
      • Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance within the Flight Control Department
      • Manage staffing for the Flight Control Department (Non scheduling)
      • Enforcement of standards within the Flight Controller and Mission Planning Teams
      • Liase with development for FMS Updates.
      • Liase directly with Senior Leadership of various departments for resolution of time sensitive issues.

      Qualifications

      What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

      We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

      • Valid FAA Dispatcher Certificate
      • Extraordinary technical savviness.
      • Demonstrated Mastery in regulatory, company, and SOP guidance.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule to fulfill open shifts, required coverages.
      • Ability to maintain clear thinking under high stress situations.
      • Minimum 5 years of Mission Planning, Or Flight Control Experience, or equivalent experience
      • Valid Driver’s License

      Physical Requirements

      We want to make sure you’re fully equipped for success. Here’s a look at any physical requirements needed for this role:

      • Ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day.

      What We Offer: Salary Range & Benefits

      At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary for this role ranges from $84,000 to $115,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
