      JOB SUMMARY

      The Director of Operational Excellence provides strategic leadership and direction in all matters relating to Operational Excellence. This individual is responsible for developing best practices and standards for reliability, operations, and maintenance, and for working in partnership with plant leadership to develop and execute strategies.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      • Develop tools to support decision-making in manufacturing and processing using Ignition and other data collection systems.
      • Lead a team of Reliability Engineers and Process Improvement Engineers to build operational set point standards on manufacturing and processing equipment.
      • Support validation that Operational Standards are being followed with Ops Management.
      • Own Asset Care Strategy for corporate reliability. Audit all facilities on Asset Care standards to drive continuous improvement.
      • Own Root Cause analysis on all equipment major/critical failures company wide.
      • Develop and sustain corporate maintenance practices and work orders in the ERP system.
      • Build system for consistent maintenance corporate wide for all like equipment.
      • Develop standards with new equipment purchases to create standards at all facilities.
      • Identify and guide significant improvement initiatives by developing a Long-Term Continuous Improvement Plan.
      • Determine means to reduce material usage, material losses, and finished product rework.
      • Identify training opportunities and create training materials.
      • Develop and communicate the plant scorecard and coach the team in analyzing trends and improving plant KPIs.
      • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver JDE, Maintenance training for craftsmen at all TWG sites.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Business.
      • At least 5-7 years of experience in a plant/manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 2 years of work experience with continuous improvement, ideally driving Operational Excellence in a related industry.
      • Familiarity with Operational Excellence tools such as 5S, TPM, SMED, CI, process mapping, and value stream analysis.
      • SMRP (Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals) certification is a bonus.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      • Ability to perform repetitious lifting of weights up to 50 lbs. for substantial lengths of time throughout the shift, as well as tasks requiring bending, stooping, and twisting.

      COMPENSATION

      • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $169,600 - $254,400.
      • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
