      The coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and logistical support to ensure the effective functioning of the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office. This role involves managing communications, maintaining records, coordinating schedules, and assisting in the execution of the organization's initiatives. The coordinator serves as a liaison between the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with organizational policies.

      Education and Experience:

      • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution and
      • Three (3) years of directly related work experience.

      OR

      • Associate degree in a directly related field and

      • One (1) year of directly related work experience.

      OR

      • Bachelor's Degree in a directly related field.

      (Directly related work experience is customer service, office, data entry that can include retail, and etc..)

      Automatic Disqualification:

      • Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for any Felony, and any Class A Misdemeanor.
      • Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for a Class B Misdemeanor, if within the previous 10 years.
      • Open arrest for any criminal offense (Felony or Misdemeanor).
      • Family Violence conviction.

      Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

      • 0800 - 1700 | Regular Full-time

      • Monday - Friday | One (1) hour lunch

      Salary:
      • $26.32 Hourly
      • Depends on Qualifications
      • Based on 26 Pay Periods
        • Plus, benefits




      Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
