- Well-developed consulting skills, including a successful record of building personal credibility and managing relationships with key executive decision-makers with an excellent ability to influence and apply pragmatism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated record of maintaining and improving governance and assurance frameworks
- Strong understanding of UK Operational Resilience regulation
- Understanding of the operational resilience risks across associated risk domains that have the potential to impact our Business Services and the controls required to manage and mitigate them within appetite and Impact Tolerance
National salary up to £75,000, London salary up to £90,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operational Resilience Risk Expert to join our passionate and tenacious team. This is a great job for someone with broad experience in risk with great stakeholder management skills as you will be operating as part of the Operational Resilience Governance and Assurance Team!
A bit about the job:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Operational Resilience Risk monitoring and assurance framework and procedures to ensure reporting on Aviva’s ability to remain within Impact Tolerance is in line with regulatory requirements and industry standard methodologies and support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and initiatives to improve operational resilience risk management practices across the organisation.
You will provide expert advice and guidance on the identification, assessment, and management of operational resilience risks (people, location, technology, data and third party) to our ability to remain with Impact tolerances of our Important Business Services. Review and assess risk assurance reporting and other risk-related documentation in the context of our important business services to identify emerging risks and trends. In addition, you will develop and deliver operational resilience risk management engagement and awareness activity to ensure that colleagues are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively handle risks.
Integral to this role will be partner relationship management as you will collaborate with other risk management functions and key internal business partners to ensure that operational resilience risk reporting and assurance is appropriate integrated and aligned to our operational resilience requirements.
