- Developed understanding of the regulatory environment, compliance obligations and effective controls
- CTP or General Claims experience highly desired
- Excellent attention to detail and forward planning and communication skills
- Strong business acumen and risk management experience, ideally in a first line of defence
- Relevant industry or specialism qualifications e.g.: ANZIIF, AS/NZSISO 31000:2009 (Risk management -principles and guidelines)
- Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management preferred, or Economics/Accounting/Finance/Law or related fields desired

Your Role
As an Operational Risk Consultant, you’ll undertake the risk identification management, review, mitigation and reporting of CTP claims alongside business owners in alignment with the IAG Risk Management Strategy, Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement.
You’ll be an advocate for driving risk maturity uplift and improvement in the operational risk culture within the division. Your ability to engage broadly and communicate effectively within IAG to influence a practical understanding of operational risk will be a critical factor to success.
You’ll have the opportunity to utilise your analytical thinking and business acumen to influence the business through risk assessment, control testing, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Ideally, you will have come from a background in CTP or General Insurance.
This is a hybrid permanent role, open for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane location.
