      Savage's Operational Systems Specialists play a critical role in sourcing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our operational systems and associated processes. We are problem solvers, providing day-to-day support as well as engaging in broadly impactful strategic initiatives. We ensure our operations and functional teams have the right technology and processes to be successful.

      This position is based out of Midvale, UT location offering an onsite or hybrid work schedule.

      What You'll Be Doing:

      • Administrative support for cross-functional project teams
        • Oversee project plans and task management
        • Facilitate recurring meetings
      • Provide support across a variety of systems and processes
        • Troubleshoot issues
        • Admin and configuration
        • Training
        • Onboard new users
        • Address data issues
        • Build reports
        • Audits
        • Continuous improvement
      • Research system capabilities and prepare gap analyses
      • Coordinate implementations and enhancements
      • Act as a liaison between various functional, technical, and operational teams
      • Document functional requirements
      • System and integration testing
      • Guide prioritization of software development
      • Differentiate between process-opportunities and technology-opportunities
      • Travel is required for this role

      What You Need to Be Successful:

      • Rail industry experience a plus
      • Exceptional communication skills
      • Highly organized
      • Independent and takes initiative
      • General technical expertise (“Enough to be dangerous”)
        • Data Structure, Analysis, Software Architecture
      • Applicable Prior Roles:
        • Product Owner, Project Management, Software Implementation, IT, Rail Logistics etc.
      • Can learn new systems quickly with a propensity to ‘self-teach'
      • 5 years professional experience
      • Applicable Education:
        • STEM, Computer Science, Business, IT, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, etc.
