The Opportunity: Are you looking to take the next step in your accounting career? We have an opportunity for you to join our industry leading Joint Venture Accounting team where you will apply your accounting knowledge and well-developed communication skills while developing your knowledge of Oil & Gas operations. As a highly analytical problem solver, you will provide prompt, complete, relevant and accurate accounting information on the Company’s operated and non-operated properties. Your ability to resolve issues and work toward resolution with multiple stakeholders will contribute to your success in this role. Key Accountabilities: - Monitoring payment terms and payment patterns (KPIs) - Providing analysis and commentary for monthly management reports including communicating receivable collection action plans - Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of revenue, royalties, capital, and operating costs within the terms of the governing agreements and company policies - Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Joint Venture partners and other departments to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives - Analyzing and recording non-operated joint interest billings (JIBs) - Verifying and recording revenue and royalties (dollars and volumes) for non-operated properties - Work assigned will vary based on years of experience Other Details: - Job location: Calgary, Alberta - Shift schedule: 5x2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day - Competitive salary, stock options, stock savings plan and benefits - Please combine all your application documents such as Cover Letter and Resume into one PDF format document Skills & Qualifications: - 5+ years of related accounting experience - Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting - CPA designation preferred but not required - Excellent communication skills - Strong demonstrated Excel skills Why Canadian Natural?
