      Basic Job Functions:

      The Operations Administrator provides extensive administrative support to the Production and Maintenance Department Managers. This role is vital in keeping the department running smoothly by coordinating vessel documentation, arranging travel, preparing reports, supporting meetings and events, and assisting with various department needs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple leaders and shifting priorities.

      Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience or equivalent education

      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

      • Reliable transportation

      • Must be available to work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends based on operational needs

      • This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Prior experience supporting manufacturing teams

      • Strong communication and multitasking skills

      • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
