- Open Access Operations offers an alternative route into publishing, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds who may not have followed the traditional university to editorial pipeline
- We play a central operational role in the business functions, supporting the mission to double Open Access publishing output by 2027
- We are responsible for making the systems and processes work for authors and institutions to publish their research Open Access, working closely with Editorial, Production and Technology teams to achieve this
- Through system administration, process design and a responsive service to authors we aim to create a frictionless process for articles being published Open Access
- We have team members in London and Dehradun, India fulfilling Operations Assistant and Customer Service Executive roles respectively. There is close collaboration between the roles to ensure that knowledge is shared so that we are providing the best possible service to customers
- We offer a friendly, global team with a collaborative learning environment, and potential opportunities for international travel to support Open Access at Sage

- Skilled at problem-solving and able to apply this to identifying and resolving system issues and improving processes?
- Able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, derived from excellent attention to detail?
- A conscientious and curious person who can work well in a collaborative team environment?
- Able to prioritise ongoing tasks and projects while also reacting quickly to situations which require immediate action as they emerge?
- Confident in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products and able to perform basic levels of data preparation and analysis?
- Experienced in identifying trends and opportunities to help make data-driven decisions and recommendations?
- Motivated to learn quickly with a continuous improvement mindset and willing to support the development of others?
