Job Description

- Arena:
- Converting arena for event set-ups as needed;
- Set up and tear down of materials for events like tables, flooring, stage, chairs etc;
- Assist other departments with arranging set-ups for event needs;
- Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other PPE at all times required;
- Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Stadium:
- Converting stadium for event set-ups as needed;
- Set up and tear down of materials for events like goal nets and posts, fencing, signage etc;
- Assist other departments with arranging set-ups for outdoor event needs;
- Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other PPE at all times required;
- Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Any labour experience is an asset;
- MUST have CSA approved steel toe work boots;
- Must have G Classed Driver’s License if driving a motorized vehicle on-site;
- Ability to do heavy lifting and carry up to 50 pounds;
- Demonstrate familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment;
- Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member;
- Ability to work varied schedule including days, evenings, overnights and weekends.
- Work requires significant physical effort, walking (including stairs), and lifting heavy weights;
- Work requires utilizing tools and equipment that could cause physical injury if not handled and operated following safety practices and procedures;
- Required to follow WHMIS and provincial Health and Safety requirements.

Reporting into TD Place Operations, you are a member of the conversion/changeover crew. Duties required converting the arena from hockey mode, to concert, or other event modes (and back) and converting the stadium from football mode to soccer mode, to concert or other event modes (and back). In addition, you will ensure that any event preparation/setup required for shows or sporting events are to run safely and efficiently.
