- Work with a cross-functional, flexible team to understand and refine functional requirements
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Work with management and BI Analysist to prioritize business and information needs.
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Work alongside our project staff to develop insights and data-driven solutions to solve their project delivery challenges
- Closely collaborate with our information technology team, including the developers and computational specialists.
- Manage project tasks, resources and deliverables.
- Ensure successful of project delivery.
- Ability to work with large datasets, extract relevant information, identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and tools for analyzing architectural and engineering data
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases.
- Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation.
- Familiarity with industry-specific data sources, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files, BIM (Building Information Modeling) data, and project management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics or related field required
- Two years of relatable work experience required
- Experience in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Industry is desirable
- Proficiency in languages like Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings including the ability to create informative visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and querying techniques.

Overview
MSA has an opportunity for an Operations Data Analyst based out of any of the following offices: Madison, WI; Baraboo, WI; Milwaukee, WI. This position will work within a team of technology professionals supporting engineers, architects, scientists, and other technology specialists with a focus on client-deliverables. We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst interested in collaborating with design professional teams to identify, develop, and implement innovative data-driven solutions and insights that support and enhance existing project delivery processes and client deliverables.
This would be the perfect opportunity for you if you love learning and keeping on top of your game by being a problem solver who thrives when developing innovative solutions in a team environment that are functional, robust, optimized, and scalable. This position will be a member of the multi-disciplinary Digital Design team to effectively grow, develop, update, and support digital transformation through our design processes, innovation, and client-deliverables in the AEC industry.
