      Job Description

      Takeda’s Operations Development Program (ODP) is a 27-month rotational leadership program designed for individuals looking to accelerate their careers in pharmaceutical manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and quality. As a member of the ODP, you can expect visibility to senior leaders, accelerated growth and learning, and exposure across our manufacturing operations. The program is comprised of three, 9-month rotations across two- to three of our US facilities, including locations in California, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, and Massachusetts.

      Program features include:

      • Developing the technical principles you need to succeed in pharmaceutical manufacturing

      • Building your skills as a values-based leader through hands-on training and executive mentorship

      • Cross-functional on-the-job and formal learning to accelerate your knowledge and career growth

      Throughout the program, your rotations will be designed for your skills, growth, and ability to make an impact on our business. The assignments will challenge you to adapt, learn, and quickly find ways to add value to each rotation. You will be responsible for learning and understanding various aspects of your rotational assignment, all within a supportive environment designed to help you succeed and meet your potential as a future leader within the pharmaceutical industry.

      Rotation assignments can include placement as a Process Engineer, Supply Chain Analyst, or even a Manufacturing Supervisor. The program is designed to give you the cross-functional experience and exposure you need to understand how we manufacture quality medicine for the patients who need them as effectively, efficiently, and with as little impact to our planet as possible.

      Program Timeline:

      • The program start date for the next ODP cohort is Monday, July 15, 2024

      • Expected program completion date is October 2026

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Hard Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.). The degree is to be completed before the expected program start date

      • Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or otherwise authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

      • Minimum 1 relevant internship and/or co-op experience required

      • Geographic mobility and willingness to rotate through different US regions with a minimum of two unique site rotations

      Physical Demands:

      • Dependent on rotation, some roles may require the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs.

      Working Environmentapplicable to manufacturing site-specific rotations:

      • Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body

      • No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the controlled work environment

      • May be working in an area that requires protective equipment to be worn

      • May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and celite that may require respiratory protection

      • May be required to work or be assigned to a different shift as needed

      • Inside working conditions

      • Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions

      • 5% travel

      Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $87,000. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off. The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
