      ECT continues to grow in the Central and Western US and seeks to hire additional operations directors, ideally in Texas. Selected candidates will join a dynamic, regional team of ecologists, wetland biologists, species experts, and cultural resource specialists, focused on a variety of environmental topics and opportunities that matter most today.

      Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8-10 years of natural resources consulting background with 1-3 years successful experience managing a team dynamic including talent, performance metrics, business development, client service, and quality. While travel is not a primary function of the role, regional travel and limited other travel may be expected approximately 25-30 percent of the time.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Foster an environment emphasizing safety awareness and the safe performance of our work while contributing to a positive, professional environment.
      • Promote a collaborative and high-performance team environment by hiring and retaining key professionals.
      • Continue to support regional and national growth of the extended service line and ECT overall through business development and client expansion efforts, in tandem with other professional and the expanded team.
      • Producing quality deliverables and consulting services for a set of growing clients while maintaining internal metrics associated with team performance such as revenue and utilization.
      • Assume performance responsibility for a region or team and work with peers to achieve overall division and company annual goals. This includes goals such as bookings, revenue, and billed hours or utilization.
      • Expand client relationships and act as a liaison for the ECT client base. Collaborate with account managers to service clients, support business development, conference attendance, and proposal development.
      • Identify new service and market opportunities for ECT, based on industry knowledge and client relationships, with ongoing participation in organizational growth planning and initiatives.

      Education & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental sciences, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
      • 8-10 years of natural resources consulting experience, with 1-3 years of successful team management (talent development, performance metrics, business development, and client service).
      • Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
      • Proven experience in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
      • Excellent technical writing, communication, and report preparation skills.
