Job Description

- Collaborate with other departments to identify operation problems
- Identify and clarify management objectives and needs of systems
- Observe current operation system and gather and analyze information about each component of the system
- Define data requirements and gather and validate information
- Specify manipulative or computational methods to be applied to models
- Design, conduct, and evaluate experimental operational models in cases where models cannot be developed from existing data
- Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants, variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objects, and their numerical parameters
- Perform validation and testing of models periodically to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary
- Design operational models pursuant to departmental initiative or upon requests of other departments
- Verify possibility of implementation and feasibility of each operation design models
- Run simulations of each operations design models to test factors and variables
- Review data of models currently in use to evaluate performance and reliability
- Create models based on proposals provided from management and test for operations efficiency
- Revise and optimize business operations proposals within the criteria provided to facilitate business goals for various departments.
- Prepare reports to advise other departments and management on the impacts of various courses of action in order to address the operation issues
- Collaborate with Market Research Analysts to prepare reports on data analysis
- Prepare different reports of findings and present results to management of various departments
- Collaborate with other management to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions.
- Operations Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Related majors
