- Investigate and Troubleshoot: Proactively address hardware and network issues on the shop floor, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
- Engage with Shop Floor Personnel: Regularly communicate with machine operators, technicians, and other shop floor staff to understand IT challenges and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with Digital Operations: Work closely with the Digital Operations team to understand and implement digital solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Support Local IT Initiatives: Assist the local IT team in various projects, ranging from equipment setup to software updates, ensuring alignment with plant operations.
- Documentation: Maintain and update IT documentation, ensuring that any changes or updates to hardware or software are accurately recorded.
- You like to solve problems, work with people in a manufacturing environment, and are going to school for an IT or related degree.
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree program.
- Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking, and software.
- Possess problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology applications within manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting and interacting with shop floor personnel.

Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID world headquarters in Elyria, OH has been developing tools that help trades professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately. Today, more than 600 employees work in 734K sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space.
