      About the Role

      Reporting to the Sr. Production Specialist, the OMC will be responsible for ensuring that the production operations and maintenance teams are appropriately supported and enabled to achieve efficient and effective execution of maintenance, projects, and shutdown tasks.

      The OMC role requires strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. The span of control covers both operations and maintenance, and the successful candidate will be able to manage priorities of both areas and deliver a process that leads to improved efficiency and effectiveness of the interface between the teams. The role will be responsible for Process side of the facility, but also can cover Common Facilities and Marine, Storage and Loading based on demand.

      This role has no direct reports so the ability to lead and influence peers and colleagues will be a key to success in the role.

      You will use your expertise to:

      • Work with Operations and Maintenance leadership to ensure integration of all work processes prior to start up
      • Aid in the development of Operations and Maintenance work processes including Maintenance Work Request, LOTO, Permit to Work, SIMOPS
      • Interface between Operations, Planning & Maintenance including work prioritization and simultaneous operations management.
      • Adhere to LNG Canada core values, business principles and work practices and processes to ensure safety of self, personnel, process plant and environment.
      • Proactive management of opportunistic work register to ensure that no opportunities are missed.
      • Provide input and leadership as required to incident investigations and deliver learnings from incidents on all operational & maintenance learnings, as and when required.
      • Conduct routine audits on workflow process and operational maintenance deliverables.
      • Support, leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Production Operations Team.
      • Support the delivery of safe and efficient maintenance operations.
      • Support the LOTO / PTW processes within level of accountability.
      • Focal point for production team communications relating to maintenance and workflow information, including toolbox talks, plans and presentations.
      • Lead operations team performance in the maintenance arena with structured reviews/reports and feedback.
      • Demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance activities.
      • Ensure that maintenance is executed as planned to maintain safety and reliability of the plant.
      • Assist the Production and Maintenance teams with the “break in” process including prioritization.
      • Review and recommend updates to operational workflow and PTW process and instructions as required.
      • Perform administration/verification of shift team maintenance deliverables.
      • Take a leading role in ensuring operation and maintenance planning & workflow process is constantly improving in efficiency & delivering results.
      • Coach and advise teams - motivate personnel of various levels and expertise.
      • Ensure proper reporting of all operations & maintenance HSSE related incidents and support the investigation and follow up.

      To be successful, you will have:

      • Solid gas processing, LNG, or Refinery operational knowledge.
      • Strong process safety focus for application in Major Accident Hazard facility.
      • Good understanding of Plant Maintenance requirements.
      • Solid experience working in the petrochemical industry.
      • Ability to mentor and coach staff.
      • Good understanding of fundamental operating principles of industrial process systems.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
      • Positive, open minded and strong ability to interact with other disciplines.
      • Demonstrated consciousness of the Quality, Health, Safety Security and Environment issues on the plant.
      • Experienced user of Microsoft Word and Excel.

      This role requires that you:

      • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
      • Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace).       • Some travel, overtime and afterhours coverage may be required
      • Willing and able to work outdoors in inclement weather
      • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces
      • Willing to work collaboratively in a diverse and team-oriented environment
      • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
