      The Pine Hill Mill is currently seeking an Operations Maintenance Coordinator for the Pulp or Power Area. The Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) will report to the Department Area Process Manager. The OMC is responsible for coordination of the operations and maintenance functions within the department to maximize the budgets and the reliability of equipment. The OMC will accomplish results by driving reliability best practices into the daily operation of the business.

      The Job You Will Perform:

      • Assure safety awareness, safe work and compliance with safety rules and policies in the coordination of the operations and maintenance functions.
      • Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee development and labor relations.
      • The overall functionality of the manufacturing Work System (MWS) program and directly accountable for its success as the team leader;
      • Conducting the daily MWS meetings and ensuring the agenda is strictly followed;
      • Planning and scheduling the proper work to ensure process reliability;
      • Overseeing process preparation for maintenance;
      • System shutdown and isolation;
      • System preparation and work area clean-up;
      • System Zero Energy State (ZES) and Group Lockout/Tag outs (LOTO);
      • Work permitting (hot work, confined space entry, line breaking, etc.).
      • Leading and driving the effort for continuous improvement in reliability;
      • Provides assistance and technical advice necessary to assist in the operations process.
      • Daily reviews of new work notifications for the area ensuring that all notifications have been properly screened, identified and prioritized;
      • This includes deleting duplicates, ensuring proper user status and revision codes, processing notifications, understanding the job scopes and communicating with the notification originators;
      • Achieving MWS metrics such as % break in work, schedule adherence, precision maintenance completion, Reliability Recordables, etc.
      • Reviewing the complete area backlog weekly with the Maintenance supervisors to update priorities, purge the backlog of unneeded or completed work and develop a work schedule for the following week;
      • Reviewing Operator Round Sheets and Basic Care Route Reports for issues, communicating with Operators for details and ensuring that a notification has been written;
      • Coordinating Field Day activities, including MS Project timelines, work tracking, job progress and operational readiness;
      • Coordinating Annual Outage activities, including MS Project timelines, work tracking, job progress and operational readiness;
      • Achieving monthly budgeted spending, including annual outages and repair jobs;
      • Maintains budgeted production requirements at planned quality and lowest possible cost.
      • Ensuring a temporary OMC is always designated to perform all MWS duties when absent from the mill;
      • Keep current documentation on allowable environmental permit limits and assure compliance with all rules, regulations and laws.

      The Skills You Will Bring:

      • Bachelor’s degree in engineering related discipline is required or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.
      • Minimum of four (3) + years of operations/maintenance experience in pulp, power, recovery, or equivalent areas (turbines, feedwater, air compressors).
      • Knowledge of environmental impacts of pulp or power equipment and processes.
      • Experience in the pulp and paper Industry is preferred.
      • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
      • Strong technical foundation in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering.
      • Strong computer skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
      • Familiar with SAP, Auto CAD, or similar systems.
      • High level of initiative and motivation.
      • Able to excel with minimum supervision and work independently.
      • Desire and ability to work as a team player.
