      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

          • Monitoring of the collection and delivery performance, isolating of problem areas and solution implementation, to achieve of 100% on time collections and deliveries.
          • Management of all operations staff, ensuring that staff are supervised, supported, trained and equipped to perform their tasks properly and professionally.
          • Ensuring that the disciplinary code and procedures of Aramex are consistently and fairly applied to all levels of staff in cases of misconduct. All policies and procedures must be made known to all operations staff.
          • Consistently monitoring service levels and following up on each case of service failure originating from operations and/or a carrier and/or a 3rd party agents utilized by Aramex. Furthermore, the root cause of the service failure must be identified and addressed to prohibit and prevent any recurrence of the aforementioned service failures.
          • Ensuring all operations staff clock in and out in strict accordance with their set shifts, and that slack timekeeping is monitored, and corrective action taken where necessary. Disciplinary action must be instituted against repeat offenders.
          • Monitoring and ensuring the safety and security of staff and freight in the warehouse.
          • Conducting weekly driver, agent and operations supervisor meetings and forwarding minutes of the meetings to the Branch Manager by the day following the meeting, along with action taken from previous minutes.
          • Manage operating expense according to budget.
          • Participate in setting the operation annual budget.
          • Ensure compliance to HSSE, compliance and sustainability standards.
          • Train, Mentor and develop direct reports.
          • Set objectives and conduct annual performance review for direct reports.
          • Monitoring the vehicle tracking system in a way to minimize waste, as well as minimizing the fuel consumption. Apply optimization study.
          • Monthly management of staff overtime & leave balance.
          • Monthly review of Domestic cost of service, analyze and identify overspend.

      With regards to service standards expected by Aramex clients you are responsible for ensuring:

          • That all shipments are collected on time from local clients.
          • That outgoing freight makes the flight deadlines.
          • All shipments are delivered within the service standards.
          • All freight is checked both in and out of the branch against the manifests and that freight is accounted for.
          • Night and weekend operations are properly managed and/or supervised, with due consideration given to service standards, professionalism, dress code, staffing, in-transit security and branch safety & security.
          • All missed collections are reacted to at once & communication is sent to all relevant stakeholders.
          • The warehouse floor is clean and tidy at all times – 5s.
          • That accurate checks on overtime records are conducted.

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

      • Must have a valid Code 10 Driver’s license and a valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
      • MS Office applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
      • Degree or similar qualification and/or experience in Supply Chain Management
      • Strong communication skills
      • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations
      • Minimum 3 years’ management experience
