Job Description
- Req#: JR-04677
- Use hydraulic simulation models to determine pressure monitoring points for pipeline integrity digs (technical in nature)
- Obtain and analyze historical pipeline operating data to help determine safe excavation pressures
- Maintain daily operating plans and pressure monitoring alarms for dig crew location and progress
- Support outage coordinators and planners with day-to-day operation and execution of system outages on the NGTL and Foothills pipeline systems
- Solicit and maintain plant turnaround information from shippers
- Other administrative tasks relating to outage planning management
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program, specializing in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and in your third year of Studies
- Enrollment at an accredited university, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term
- Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
- Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity and collaboration
- Legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid work permit
- Knowledge of gas pipeline hydraulics and familiarity with natural gas transmission systems would be considered an asset
- Effective in a rapidly changing environment with changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
- Committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
- Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
