FGL owns the most recognizable sporting goods brands in the country including Sport Chek, Sports Experts, National Sports, Pro Hockey Life and Atmosphere.

      • Work with Lean Black Belt to execute the process improvement roadmap.

      • Lead and actively participate in operations improvement projects, applying a Lean Six Sigma methodology in partnership with the BU/SMEs assigned to each project.

      • Responsible for a variety of administrative requirements (workshops, time studies, process management and reporting)

      • Manage the facilitation of time studies to identify labour baselines and validate process improvement value (Value of efficiency) for labour planning (Key FP&A input)

      • Collaborate with project SMEs to map/re-map process flows.

      • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with BU/SMEs

      • Manage the SOP Library (scheduled health checks and continuous improvement revisions)

      • Work collaboratively with the ROM (Regional Operations Manager) team to implement new SOPs, evaluate operational process opportunities and manage the integrity of existing operational processes (test theories and quantify COPQ)

      What you bring

      • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification with a minimum of 2 years of project experience.

      • Experience working on projects in which Lean Six Sigma methodology was applied

      • Experience facilitating workshops and presentations to a variety of group sizes.

      • Presentation and administrative tool experience (Excel, PPT, Word)

      • strong communication skills (written and oral) that can be leveraged to build rapport through influence and collaborate with contributors at all levels of the organization.

      • Demonstrates strong facilitation skills and comfort with large group presentation requirements.

      • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, a bias for action, and a desire to work with key stakeholders to drive innovation in the retail environment and in-store e-commerce.

      • Can be on-site at the Corporate Calgary campus minimum of 3 days per week.
