      The Operations Quality Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical support to operations using GSE and deicing equipment within the North American region. Responsibilities include supporting General Managers (GMs) on all GSE and deicing technical matters, including legislation and industry changes; technical advice on all aspects of GSE, operations and maintenance, and safe working practices to ensure compliance with Signature’s health and safety standards.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Education and/or Experience:

      • Bachelors’ degree for a four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Additional knowledge and skills:

      • Proven GSE & deicing airside experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is essential.
      • Previous experience in aviation or related industry/sector is highly desirable.
      • IT proficient and technically able.
      • Exceptional organization skills.
      • Strong communication & listening skills, a team player and innovator.
      • Willingness to undertake any ongoing or specialist training required to meet the role's needs.
      • Strong management skills and ability to work with colleagues across the organization at various levels and based in different countries.
      • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
      • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
      • Ability to work under pressure in a busy operational environment.
      • Strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, and a result-orientated focus

      • A clean driving license and relevant security clearances to access the airside during station visits are essential.

      Responsibilities

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      GSE Management

      • Work with the Safety & Security Team to provide detailed Safe Systems of Work and training packages for any new technical equipment to enable the safe use and operation of the equipment. Annually review and update all GSE and deicing Risk Assessments, including PUWER Assessments, as required.
      • Provide technical support and training as required by the operation to GMs, Base Trainers, and OJTs.
      • Support GMs by project leading the requirements for GSE for special events through Signature transfers or 3rd party providers and provide onsite technical support and training as required during the event.
      • Lead any technical training of new GSE (purchase / leased) on site and ensure all operational paperwork is complete before the equipment is placed in service.
      • Provide technical support for the GSE manual, the Deicing SOP Manual, preventative maintenance program, policies, processes, and standards as required.
      • SME for the GSE and deicing Fleet. Support the designated GMs on equipment operation, conduct regular observations and Risk Assessments, and communicate fleet updates, ensuring they are captured within the GSE and SOP manuals.
      • Conduct onsite audits of all GSEs in line with ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or the Signature Aviation internal audit program and support GMs with any closure of corrective actions found.
      • Maintain GSE and deicing industry-standard knowledge through industry association memberships and individual training courses. Ensure compliance with Signature Aviation's annual recurrent training requirements.
      • Ensure all industry GSE modifications and safety notices are communicated to designated GMs and that any equipment is correctly modified within the notice timeline.
      • Be the subject matter expert in the GSE SOPs, allowing effective monitoring and feedback through investigations and audits to consistently improve safety.

      Health and Safety

      • Work with the HSSE Team to investigate any hazard trends, near misses, or Incidents involving GSE and provide a detailed root cause analysis using the system. Complete proactive risk assessments.
      • Create and maintain a positive safety culture across all bases
      • Thoroughly understand and comply with each HSS&E policy applicable to the work environment.
      • Submit Near near-miss reports and reporting of hazard observations.
      • Report and record any Safety and Security incidents and provide reports as required.
      • Always ensure excellent Safety performance according to internal policy to achieve Zero incidents and accidents.

      General

      • Assist with operational support as required around workload.
      • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
      • Communicate on various committees as required and communicate effectively with Senior Leaders.
      • Be active in weekly SME and other group conference calls as required.
