What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement mathematical models (optimization, simulation, statistical) to support business processes and decision-making
- Assist in the development of algorithms for logistics, scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation problems
- Use software tools like Python, SQL, OR-Tools, and similar to build and test models
- Analyze results, identify trends, and prepare detailed reports and visualizations for stakeholders
- Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Solid understanding of operations research techniques such as optimization, simulation, graph theory, and statistical analysis
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with optimization libraries (e.g., OR-Tools, PuLP, Gurobi, CPLEX)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1–2 years of professional experience applying operations research methods to real-world problems (academic research or industry experience)
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Streamlit, or similar
