The Operations Rotational Development Program (ORDP) is a rotational leadership development program. ORDP hires top talent who have graduated within the last 2 years from college with a bachelors or masters, and prepares them for successful contributions to Roche/Genentech’s Pharma Technical Operations (PT). The program gives ORDP Analysts the opportunity to gain a broad perspective on the core PT functions that are critical to the manufacturing of Genentech/Roche products. ORDP Analysts can rotate in any of the business areas of PT including: Biologics Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Global Engineering and Strategy, Product Development, Technical Innovation, and Global Pharma Procurement.
Rotational projects support specific business needs throughout PT. The rotations are tailored to provide challenging and meaningful assignments, training in technical and leadership skills, and coaching with rotation managers and mentors. Training and development for ORDP Analysts includes:
How ORDP Works:
The program provides analysts with opportunities to develop project management expertise, support world-class manufacturing, and be involved in processes that significantly drive business productivity and profitability. Analysts will be responsible for projects on both an individual and team basis and will perform activities and functions as a member of their assigned department. Each analyst will partner with a rotation manager, who will guide them through the day-to-day activities of the department. Rotations last six months and are based on a combination of PT strategic objectives, specific departmental needs, and interests of the ORDP analysts. Rotations are available at the South San Francisco, Oceanside, Vacaville, California, and Hillsboro, Oregon facilities. Throughout the rotational assignments, ORDP analysts are considered full-time employees of their assigned department and are eligible for Genentech's generous vacation and benefits package. During the fourth and final rotational assignment, analysts will have the opportunity to apply for open positions at Genentech to further analysts' career goals.
