      We are currently recruiting a key functional individual responsible for leading Operations Sourcing for our Swiss Manufacturing Operations (SMO).
      In this position, you will be responsible for the management, identification, implementation and alignment of global sourcing strategies, initiatives, supply assurance, risk mitigation, sourcing continuous improvement and productivity programs as well as global supplier network capabilities for commodity materials to achieve business objectives.
      The position is based in Tolochenaz, Switzerland.

      A Day in the Life
      • Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, efficiencies, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritize and drive implementation.
      • Work collaboratively with the Global Supply Management Functions to support development / implementation / deployment of material strategies and productivity improvement programs to achieve Operating Unit and Manufacturing Network objectives.
      • In collaboration with Sourcing Excellence, take the full responsibility for sourcing process and system standardization for Operations and the respective manufacturing facilities.
      • Accountable for Supply Assurance for the assigned Medtronic Plants and/or Value Stream encompassing all manufacturing sites within the value stream and the interdependencies therein.
      • Drive Last Time Buy activities and Strategic Inventory Purchase activities to ensure continuity of supply.
      • Drive programs for Raw Material Inventory Optimization for all sites within the value stream.
      • Implement programs to manage Supply Risk and drive actions to mitigate risk.
      • Drive industry best practices and provide leadership to implement continuous improvement within the manufacturing site supply chain.
      • Responsible for Supply Management, Supply Base Performance and Metrics for the sites in the value stream.
      • Participate in the establishment of strategic and operating plans, budgets, goals and priorities and in formulation of strategies, organizational policies and operating procedures for the respective Operating Unit.
      • Support value stream cross functional teams in developing sourcing strategies/programs for materials where standardization/aggregation will yield significant savings or process improvement.
      • Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean to drive advancements in the supply base pertaining to Quality, Cost, and Performance to support business objectives.
      • Improve specific supplier performance improvement plans in areas that impedes our ability to meet our customers’ requirements.
      • Participate in Strategic Supplier Reviews to drive value improvement opportunities across the organization.
      • Conduct regular reviews of sourcing programs and ensures best practices are implemented throughout the organization.
      • Work collaboratively with manufacturing facilities to ensure availability of raw materials and supplies required for ongoing production and for new product development when required.
      Must Have: Minimum Requirements
      • Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or in a related discipline.
      • Minimum 10 years of business experience in Supply Chain / Sourcing activities.
      • Fluent in French and a very good level in English.
      • Knowledge of regulatory environments (i.e., ISO, FDA-GMP, etc.) or equivalent.
      • Specific skills in negotiation and experience in supporting the assigned project area.
      • Strong interpersonal, communication and cross-functional team facilitation skills.
      • Ability to influence for results in a matrixed organization.
      • Ability to perform in fast-paced & virtual environment.
      • Ability to provide change leadership and accelerate change.
      • Working knowledge of statistical data analysis and related statistical tools.
      • Good technical writing, project management and leadership skills.
      • Discrete in handling confidential information.
      • Sound business acumen.

      Nice to Have
      • Experience in medical device / microelectronics industry sector will be an advantage.
      • Six Sigma Black or Green Belt & Lean manufacturing background will be an advantage.
