      Purpose: The Operations Supervisor is a member of the Distribution Center management team. They will work to continuously optimize our DC operations by engaging with various stakeholders to improve operational metrics, and refine processes and remove waste from operations. This individual will be a strong people manager with the ability to effectively manage associates with varying levels of experience. The position requires someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.


      Key Responsibilities:
      • Manage specific functional area in Distribution Center and be accountable for achieving all productivity and quality targets
      • Train, manage and develop all DC associates
      • Maintain full working knowledge of the WCS and WMS platforms
      • Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, excel, queries and WMS reporting
      • Report on operations metrics to evaluate DC area performance in productivity, quality, and safety
      • Create a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction
      • Maintain all OSHA safety standards including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential threats to safety
      • Direct efforts on having all associates maintain a safe and orderly working environment
      • Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
      • Help to lead Lean Six Sigma activities
      • Other duties as assigned

      Key Relationships:
      • Interface with Distribution Director and Transportation Director
      • Facility Operations and Shift managers
      • Area Operations and Forklift associates

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
      • Experience operating in high-volume distribution operations.
      • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to effectively and efficiently interact with associates and senior DC management team.
      • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
      • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills. Proficient use of Microsoft office applications
      • The job requires extensive walking and standing on hard surfaces
      • Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (10) hours/day
      • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
      • Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
      • Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)

      Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
      • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
      • Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training
      • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
