      Do you have a passion for organizing and a strong attention to detail? We have a great opportunity to support Operations personel scheduling. As an Advisor in the Operations Department, you will be part of a dynamic and integrated team at Suncor's Commerce City refinery, which is the largest refinery in the Rocky Mountain region and the only petroleum refinery in Colorado. You will gather required information, develop, and maintain the operator shift schedule in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

      Minimum Requirements:

      • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

      • An understanding of data analysis, a solid working knowledge of Excel, and ability to build reports

      • Ability to interpret a collective bargaining agreement (i.e. qualifications/seniority) and translate it into a working staff schedule

      • Focused on safety, responsible environmental performance, and efficient use of resources

      • Previous working experience scheduling staffing resources (preferred but not required)

      • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for the duration of your employment


      Responsibilities:

      • Ensure all Operator job positions are covered accurately with qualified individuals aligned with requirements laid out in CBA including developing preliminary schedule 2 months in advance and final 3-week schedule each Tuesday

      • Gather and incorporate activities impacting normal shift scheduling (i.e. training schedule, vacation schedules, PHA schedule, team and committee schedules, and leaves of absence) into the weekly schedule

      • Ensure the Operations Seniority List, Call-Out List, and Opt-Out lists are accurate and up to date

      • Capture overtime lists weekly from Workday and use information to schedule overtime per guidance in the CBA

      • Interact with Union Management Committee monthly on scheduling

      • Update the scheduling policy annually to ensure accuracy as it relates to the union contract, Letters of Understanding (LOUs) or Letters of Agreement (LOAs) that are added between contract dates

      • Help evaluate and implement new scheduling software


      Location and other Key Details:

      • You will work out of our Commerce City Business Center, located at 5455 Brighton Blvd.

      • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

      • This role is split approximately 50/50 between office and field environment

      • This role is safety sensitive

      Salary and Compensation Details:

      • $90,000 to $105,000 annual salary and an annual incentive (bonus) program
