Perform analysis of external solutions to assist in making informed decisions on baggage mishandling response solutions .
Deliver analysis and solutions that illustrate a clear understanding of the business problem at hand as well as the broader impact across the wider operational group and Company .
Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources .
Identify areas to improve operational performance and business process through an understanding of Customer/process insights, assurance data, strategic needs, and risk management .
Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed .
Collect, organize, visualize, and assimilate data including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software .
Lead and facilitate project meetings and presentations to Leadership .
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders .
Improve internal performance metrics and assi st with views on station performance around complaint resolution .
Support the sales team with analytics, sales tools, CRM, salesforce, and dashboard reporting .
Create and distribute communications and collateral to Southwest Business Team and Customers.
Provide Customer Support to Southwest Business Team and Customers by responding to and managing Customer and sales inquiries utilizing CRM tools.
Aid in creating and/or delivering onboarding and/or training materials for the Team.
Participate in ad hoc sales projects, promotions, and planning.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders .
Join Southwest as a S ummer 202 4 Intern, with a 12-week internship lasting from May 21 to August 9 , 2024 .
Work onsite at our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX.
Workplace flexibility for 50% of the time is typically available, but interns are expected to be onsite for Intern- related events .
Dedicate 40 hours each week to your internship responsibilities and tasks.
Receive hourly pay of $22 and receive a one-time $1,000 stipend on your first paycheck .
Receive free, unlimited space available travel privileges for yourself (taxes and fees may apply on international travel) .
Interns will be provided any required equipment, such as a laptop, for the internship.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
You must have a valid U.S. Social Security Number to complete the full hiring process
Progress towards degree with a major/minor in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management , Professional Sales, Marketing, Bus i n ess, Hospitality , C omputer S cience, A nalytics, Information Technology , or Aviation related field.
Minimum Sophomore status. May not have an undergraduate graduation date of May 2024 or prior, unless already enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at time of application.
To be eligible you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student as defined by your university at the time of application
Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of a pplication.
Work experience in an Aviation environment a plus.
Previous Work or Internship experience in analytics related role is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft applications.
Experience with Tableau , Alteryx , or Salesforce is a plus.
Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task and complete assignments with tight deadlines.
Good oral , written , and presentation s kills required .
Required: Full time 40hrs a week
Must maintain a consistent weekly schedule during normal business hours at a max of 8hrs per day
You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work a hybrid schedule of at least 50% in office and be onsite for applicable intern events.
Program Dates: May 21 st – August 9 th , 2024
$2 2 per hour + $1,000 stipend paid one time on first paycheck

Responsible for maintaining , supporting, and advancing Ground Operations in its responsibility to deliver a safe, reliable, low-cost product to our Customers via assisting the development and evaluation of internal and external Customer insights related to baggage mishandlings, concise problem definition, innovative solution derivation, and a comprehensive understanding of data models and analysis.
