      The Payroll Tax Operations branch is responsible for maximising voluntary compliance for taxes and grants and assisting customers in meeting their obligations.

      The primary purpose of the role is to provide processing and technical advice to customers for the collection of revenue for the state. We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented people with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

      In this role you will:

      • Assess and process documents and returns to determine and confirm state tax liabilities and entitlements to grants.
      • Maintain knowledge of state tax legislation, policies, procedures and business rules to ensure consistency of advice to customers.
      • Process multiple categories of work and prioritise tasks to meet customer and business needs.
      • Provide phone and correspondence services to support operational business requirements and deliver team and Business Unit Key Performance Indicators.

      To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

      • The ability to meet weekly KPI's and targets
      • Problem solving skills in order overcome unexpected challenges
      • Adhering to frontline responsibilities in a professional manner
      • Accurately administering legislation and providing timely and consistent customer service
      • Preferably a background in finance, tax, legal or accounting
