      Operations Technician – Marathon Pipe Line Company – BANGL System

      Overview:


      The Operations Technician position works in and around LPGs executing Operations & Logistics, Damage Prevention, and Right of Way Relations activities. The successful candidate(s) will perform such duties as: facilitate and monitor pipeline movements, conduct product sampling, complete routine facility checks and covering damage prevention duties as well as additional operational tasks needed on the pipeline. All duties will be completed in accordance with all regulations in support of DOT, Environmental, Safety, and Regulatory compliance. Travel, callouts, and overtime will be required on an as-needed basis.

      The successful candidate will be required to live within 45 minutes of the reporting location. Possible reporting location include: Cotulla, TX, Three Rivers, TX., Beeville, TX, Goliad, TX, Pettus, TX and/or Sweeny, TX

      Responsibilities:

      • The Operations Technician will perform tasks associated with pipeline movements and measurements, routine station checks, station alarm response and resolution, communication of findings to appropriate parties, right of way conflict response, work order creation and closure in SAP for required preventative and corrective maintenance, coordination of maintenance activities, and completion of all required training.

      • All work to be performed in a safe and environmentally conscious manner in accordance with all Environmental, Safety and Regulatory requirements.

      Qualifications:

      • A high school diploma or GED is required.

      • An Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred but not required.

      • 1 - 3 years of previous pipeline experience is preferred.

      • Proficiency in basic computer skills is expected.

      • Must be willing to work at least 8-hour shifts which may include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.

      • Driving is an essential function of the job. A Valid Class C Driver License is required with good driving record.
