We value a Operations Technician Senior who can embody this passion by providing dedicated support for our commercial lines team. We want you to be successful at supporting quotes, processing data, and issuing new or renewal business.

      This position will report to our Davenport, IA or Stevens Point, WI office.

      This role with either report to Kayla Nyman or Kandra Sjoberg

      What You’ll Do:

      • Document and maintain customer information and forms necessary for policies and/or policy changes in various systems. Gather necessary data from various sources, updates applicable systems, reviews output for accuracy and completeness, and ensures appropriate resolution. Ensure that data and materials meet company standards for compliance, completeness, and quality.

      • Respond to internal and external requests for action or information. Assess the request for completeness and adds account information as warranted before resolving or routing to the appropriate team. May complete account cancellations as requested. Adhering to compliance and company standards, releases claims loss information, policy and coverage documentation such as certificates of insurance, and other documents in a timely manner to customers or authorized individuals/entities. Document all activities in systems.

      • Respond to email and phone inquiries and requests from internal and external parties, which includes researching and providing workers' compensation or auto liability information as required in each state. Effectively explains plan details and/or processing requirements. Adhering to compliance and company standards, releases documents in a timely manner to customers, state bureaus, or other authorized individuals/entities.

      • Provide general administrative support, which may include, but is not limited to, redirecting returned mail and participating in system upgrades, process improvement projects, and/or quality audits.

      Additional Responsibilities:

      • Participate in formal and informal department professional development activities.

      • May assist in one-on-one or classroom training for new or less experienced associates in the department.

      • May collaborate with or assist other Sentry functions and business units such as premium audit, premium services, customer service, safety services, and/or Hortica by responding to requests for action or information.

      • Work with supervisor to establish and maintain procedures.

      • Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.

      What It Takes:

      • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

      • Experience supporting commercial lines insurance operations preferred.

      • Working knowledge of PC office applications such as Word or Excel.

      • Ability to navigate through various business software applications.

      • Ability to communicate effectively and accurately verbally and in writing.

      • Ability to interact with others and work in a team environment.

      • Ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy.

      • Organizational skills and ability to meet service standards and deadlines.

      • Basic critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
