What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and develop the Video Interpreter Apprenticeship (VIA) Program and related internship programs
- Teach skills development modules in various settings, including one-on-one and virtual classrooms
- Provide additional training to develop interpreters, including current Video Interpreters
- Establish relationships with Interpreter Preparation Programs and assist with training coordination
- Troubleshoot online training and perform other related duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently or recently a working Video Interpreter for the employer
- Employed by the employer for a minimum of 6 months
- Must be available to work a variety of schedules, including nights and weekends
- Comprehensive understanding of all current VRS applications and equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience providing instruction or training of interpreters
- Knowledge of various learning styles and ability to accommodate them
- Trilingual Skillset (Spanish, English, ASL) is a plus
