      Operator – Base salary of £31,035.35 + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

      Both roles detailed are for core day shift. A flexible approach to working hours, including overtime during busy periods, may be required to support production demands and meet critical deadlines.

      About the role

      We are delighted to share that we have excellent opportunities for Operators to join our Blackgrange Warehousing and DU Teams.

      All roles are pivotal within the whisky supply process and will oversee and control the safe movement of spirit within an established set of process procedures.

      As an Operator within our Warehousing Team, you will provide support to the Site Leadership Team and work closely with operator team members to deliver production commitments.

      You will meet and exceed site production targets. Ensuring seamless production, identify areas of concern, and highlight any potential deadline misses in advance. Guaranteeing Diageo quality and compliance across your working area will be a key part of your role making sure this is supervised and always improved.

      As an Operator within our DU Team, you’ll support a range of operator activities on site to achieve and surpass the planned weekly and daily production schedules. Primarily your role will be within the pallet plant at Blackgrange, however you may be required to support a range of activities across site, including warehousing, filling, disgorging and empty cask movement.

      Both roles will typically entail physical manual handling activities, the wearing of PPE and frequent bending, twisting, turning, and standing for long periods of time.

      Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other key performance indicators and targets such as production quality and HMRC compliance.

      About You

      We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.

      Be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. Have the strive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.

      You'll be working alongside both internal and external partners to achieve shared and individual goals.

      You’ll have shown knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
