      Austin Industrial is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Plant Utility Laborer to join our team in Iron Station, North Carolina. Must be able to support daily both production and facility upkeep to ensure smooth plant operations. Other duties may be assigned.

      Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Moving items like bearings, cones, and polytape to the right locations.
      • Checking hoppers, chip systems, and conveyors to ensure smooth operation.
      • Rake excess chips from conveyor
      • Cleaning screens, tanks, filters, and keeping work areas tidy.
      • Collecting paper, bottles, and cans from office areas.
      • Safely operate Cushman cart to transport materials, tools, and equipment safely across facility grounds.
      • Performing various tasks as needed to support plant operations.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
      • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Valid ID or driver’s license
      • Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
      • Meet physical demands as listed above
      • Must be able to work in hot, cold, dusty, and physically demanding environments
      • Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

        Requirements :

        • Must be able to follow safety procedures and work independently.

        • Must be willing and able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold), dust, and physically demanding or dirty work areas.

        • Must be willing to work in varied conditions and environments both indoor and outdoor environments
