Operator Principal (Side Boom) - Syncrude Aurora

Job Description
- Req#: OPERA013212
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Operate side boom (and various other equipment as required, ex: excavator, dozer) in a safe and effective manner)
- Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt
- Load/unload materials
- Complete pre-job equipment inspections
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
- Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
- Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
- CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional, or CSO, or BSO
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Organized and self-motivated

SUMMARY
The Side Boom Operator is involved in the operation of a side boom to move and set pipe. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.
