Honeymoon Island State Park is looking to fill multiple seasonal OPS toll collector positions working up to 24 hours per week. This position works weekends and holidays and does not include insurance or benefits.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compliance with the processing requirements of Chapter 215.422, F.S. is mandatory. Persistent failure to comply with this section by any agency of the state shall constitute good cause for discharge of employees duly found responsible, or predominantly responsible, for failure to comply.
Responsible for greeting visitors at the toll booth and collecting fees for park entrance and annual pass sales. Provide information pertaining to the park and park activities. Informing visitors of park rules and provide directions.
Operate a point-of-sale cash register; accurately collect and enter sales transactions; complete shift reports. Maintain an organized workspace, answer phones, and operate radio equipment. Maintain cleanliness of tollbooth, administrative office, and staff restroom.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic Arithmetic
SKILL IN: Providing outstanding customer service, basic computer skills
ABILITY TO: Follow verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; accurately prepare and reconcile reports; collect fees; operate cash registers, point-of-sale systems, and credit card terminals; answer visitor inquiries in a courteous manner. Understand and apply rules, directives, policies, laws and regulations; work weekends, evenings, and holidays;
Minimum qualifications:
Valid Driver’s license.
