Assemble, build, and install bench top development platforms .
R un all aspects of lab operations, and work with lab users to provide support and equipment.
Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and handle inventory of equipment and materials.
Purchase test instruments and lab supplies as well as organize lab spaces .
Maintain and organize the lab equipment for efficiency and continuously look for ways to improve lab processes.
Setup and debug a lab test station from documentation.
Safely run documented tests using lasers, fiber optics, and electrical systems.
Work with vendors to do annual calibrations on equipment and Order cables, connectors, and equipment as they are needed.
Be responsible for electrical and laser safety in the lab and Make general improvements to the usability of the lab space.
Be single point of contact for facilities during equipment installations.
B achelor’s Degree in electrical engineering , computer engineering, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience) .
2+ years of hands-on experience in a lab environment .
E xpertise with bench - top test equipment and familiarity with basic electronic measurement techniques .
Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and work with internal and external teams to finish a given task .
Good attention to detail, as well as clear written and verbal communications.
Familiari ty with configuring fiber optic test systems and Proven knowledge of simple circuits .
Experience with lab test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes and understanding how to follow a schematic.
Experience with electrical, laser, and chemical safety.
Working knowledge of wafer probe test systems and wafer handling.
Proficiency with Python or Matlab for scripting and Experience in soldering is a plus
We are now looking Optical Lab Engineer to support testing, de bug , and validation of NVIDIA's electro-optical transceiver modules . This role will m a intain a nd debug lab systems involving sophisticated system level hardware and software. The new member will b e responsible for m anaging a test and validation lab and m a intaining m ultiple test stations. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and have experience working in a non-production lab environment . E xperience with lasers , fiber optics , or high-speed electronics would be preferred. The primary responsibility of this position is to support our engineering teams during development by managing and maintaining the test stations and lab area .

The base salary range is 96,000 USD - 195,500 USD.
