Onto Innovation is looking for a junior opto-mechanical engineer to work on the development team for our product lines of automated inspection and metrology tools for the semiconductor industry.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

• Work with senior engineers to make design and changes for opto-mechanical parts, modules, and subsystems.
• Work with senior engineer to publish the subsystem requirements.
• Basic CAD Modeling, thermal & structural simulation
• Basic tolerance analysis, lifetime evaluation, optics mounting, alignment & adjustment design, etc
• Help to qualify and release the mechanism design, provide support for onsite manufacturing
• Occasional travel

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in mechanical engineering
• Working knowledge with solid CAD.
• Desired experience: opto-mechanical systems, optics alignment.
