What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Exhibit superior customer service skills and quality care for internal and external customers
- Maintain a safe and secure workspace
- Comply with pharmacy board regulations and HIPAA standards
- Process member prescriptions and prior authorizations with accuracy
- Provide medication details and clinical information to members and providers
- Conduct incoming and outgoing calls to address inquiries and provide follow-up
- Apply benefit plan criteria and explain pharmaceutical benefits and procedures
- Gain insight into different areas within the Prior Authorization Department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy program with completed first year
- Active licensure as a pharmacist intern in state of employment
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
