- Minimum one (1) year experience in an operating room environment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and read and write English.
- Ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Assists with physical preparation of patient and physical environment prior to surgery according to the age/needs of the patient/population served; transports and transfers patients as necessary.
- Functions as a porter between departments ensuring required medical supplies, information, specimens, and products are delivered in a timely fashion.
- Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and accuracy of practice.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

**OR Attendant/Transporter - FT Monday through Friday 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
**Must have one year of experience in the medical field.
**Previous OR experience preferred.
**Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Minimum Qualifications**Will be responsible for maintenance of the Operating Room (OR) and assisting nurses with basic OR functions.
**This position is located at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
