      Jo b Summary

      The OR Inventory Specialist will have primary responsibility to maintain all Surgical Services supplies and inventory with the assistance of the specialty teams/Charge RN and Manager of Inventory. He/She will perform daily ordering of supplies according to PAR levels and trends. He/She will also assist in the periodic review all case preference cards to ensure accurate documentation for supply use along with the Surgical Bookers. In addition, he/she will follow up and identify noncompliant use to the Main OR Director. He/she will assist the VP of Surgical Services in the operation of departments of Surgical Services by maintaining a thorough knowledge of the preference card inventory management related to Surgical Services. He/She will provide reports and data as needed to the Vice President of Surgical Services for fiscal and patient care needs.

      Experience

      • Minimum of two years Materials Management experience in Surgical Services.

      Education

      • High School graduate or equivalent required.
      • Associates degree with computer training in inventory management or degree in Finance preferred.

      License & Certifications

      • CPR

      • Knowledge and application of all surgical specialties.
      • Demonstrated professional communication with all internal and external contacts.
      • Thorough knowledge of Meditech Module and BHS computer systems, computer, fax and other office equipment.
      • Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations.

      • Hours: 7:00am- 3:30pm
      • Monday-Friday
      • No weekend or holidays
