What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database systems to ensure integrity, availability, and security
- Manage database architecture, implement backup and recovery strategies, and troubleshoot issues
- Utilize Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard for optimal performance
- Monitor database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and apply performance tuning techniques
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and meet service level agreement (SLA) requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education
- Minimum of 4 years of Information Technology experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Backup & Storage support or similar roles
- U.S. Citizenship required for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Database 11g, 12c, and 19c, along with PL/SQL programming skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration (OCP or OCM)
- Familiarity with other database technologies like MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
