What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Install, configure, maintain, and tune Oracle Database systems to ensure integrity, availability, and security
- Manage database architecture and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot database issues to support business operations
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and meet SLA requirements
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to optimize database performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
- Minimum of 4 years of Backup & Storage support or similar experience
- US Citizenship required for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI)
- Proficiency in Oracle Database 11g, 12c, and 19c, along with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration (OCP or OCM)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud
- Knowledge of other database technologies like MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
