- Analyzes and investigates multiple data points to identify trends of retail theft involving external groups travelling to multiple locations, crossing city, county, and state jurisdictions.
- Conducts research using videos, POS, retail loss report to develop evidence that will further the apprehension and prosecution of ORC groups.
- Works closely with Asset Protection teams across all banners to support data analysis in efforts to reduce loss of merchandise, cash, and other financial instruments such as gift cards, credit cards, money orders, lottery, and invalid checks.
- Conducts internal investigations to obtain evidence and conduct interviews that will aid in the prosecution of internal fraud.
- Reviews and analyzes exception reports, video documentations, and other information to detect loss trends at retail locations to provide insight on operational control improvements to mitigate future losses.
- Develops contacts and maintains relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Completes and maintains case files, paperwork, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Works closely with the IT department on new programs and initiatives involving POS transactions, exception reporting, and other system solutions.
- Ensures asset protection and loss control initiatives are upheld by developing training documents to ensure retail partners are educated.
- Manages all fraud notifications submitted by retail locations to ensure accurate and timely BOLO’s (be on the lookouts) and fraud alerts are issued to the appropriate stores, departments, and retail leadership.
- Intermediate knowledge of legal and civil regulations related to retail asset protection and safety.
- Intermediate knowledge of retail asset protection procedures, equipment, and systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic knowledge of software systems used for the purpose of planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Working knowledge of case management systems and software.
- Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to learn innovative technology systems, methods, and processes.

- Required travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
- Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Will be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver Policy.
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree and four or more years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education.
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification preferred.
- Advanced level Interview and Interrogation training from Wicklander-Zulawski or an equivalent training course preferred.
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) certification preferred.
- Industry related certification (CPP, CFI, LPC, etc.) preferred.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

Job Summary
Leads and manages Organized Retail Crimes (ORC) incidents across all store banners. Analyzes and reviews data to identify fraud up to and including preparing evidence and filing police reports to support prosecution of ORC theft and internal fraud. Utilizes various investigative tools and systems to identify and resolve corporate fraud, partner integrity, and misappropriation of corporate funds and services.
