      Overview

      The Order Management Supervisor leads the Order Management team for the Hussmann plant at which he/she is located. The supervisor ensures that both internal and external customer expectations are met, and that questions and issues are answered and/or resolved in a timely and professional manner.


      Responsibilities

      Role and Responsibilities

      1. Establish process, procedures & training for Order Management Specialists to support the following Order Management functions in aiding the plant ability to Deliver to Customer Request

      • Order entry in business system

      • Order acknowledgements within 48 hours

      • Customer change order requests

      • Timely order status communications to field sales

      2. Ensure there is appropriate representation at the daily shipping/production meeting with the manufacturing leaders and shipping staff. Assist in determining causals and resolutions for issues and delays related to manufacturing and shipping. Report any deviations to manufacturing and shipping schedules to the appropriate Order Management Specialist so he/she can report to field salesperson and/or coordinator in a timely manner. Work with manufacturing and shipping management to define firm and accurate commitment dates.

      3. Effectively manage the Order Management department and collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Application Engineering to ensure lean, robust processes are in place to support customer material fulfillment opportunities.

      4. Report and communicate key Hussmann Order Management Metrics as defined by the leadership team. Ensure that the Order Management Team understands how the metrics support Operational Excellence. Set departmental goals that drive performance and promote internal and external customer satisfaction.

      5. Create a learning organization that capitalizes on improvement opportunities, implements proactive processes to anticipate customer requirements, and provides applicable training and education to all employees that better enables them to achieve individual and departmental objectives.

      6. Must be able to spend approximately 25% of time on-site in the plant environment to support operations and cross-functional collaboration.


      Qualifications

      Education and Experience

      • Bachelor's degree Required

      • 2+ years of people management experience necessary

      Additional Qualifications

      • Excellent communication skills

      • Computer/analytical skills. Microsoft Office proficiency.

      • Baan ERP system knowledge a plus.

      • Ability to collaborate with and influence peers as well as plant management staff.
