  IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, VAFB or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.
  
  This position is anticipated to remain in our Santa Cruz, CA facility until Q3 2024. At that point in time the work will be moved to other facilities across the country. We are committed to the work that needs to be done in Santa Cruz in between now and then. This position may be eligible for a retention incentive plan. The hiring leader in charge of this role will be able to share more specific information tied to the move of this position during the interview process.
  
  Receive, verify conformance with accompanying documents, log in and kit for assembly operations, inert and ordnance parts and materials.
  
  Check inert and ordnance items against documents accompanying them on receipt in kitting area to verify identification numbers (e.g., part numbers, purchase lot numbers),quantity, inspection acceptance and similar items.
  
  Clean items, and cut, trim and weigh materials as required.
  
  Make up parts and materials into kits in accordance with types and quantities required for specific assemblies, obtaining information from authorizing documents such as shop orders which specify such requirements.
  
  Maintain control and related records to reflect part and material status, and discrepancies such as shortages and improper parts; notify designated personnel of discrepancies.
  
  As required, perform work of the Ordnance Assembler, 533-3, occupation and installation of harness assemblies in separation rings where work is reduced to clearly defined repetitive operations. • Ability to recognize parts and materials involved, and associate them with identifying nomenclature.
  • Ability to read and obtain information from shop orders and related work authorizing documents.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements in connection with handling of ordnance items below Class A category. SAP Experience
